Das Stadtarchiv wird 40! Aus diesem Anlass entstanden ist das Virtual-Reality-Projekt: Ergebnis hiervon sind aktuell zwei virtuelle Spaziergänge für Computer, Tablet und Smartphone durch Neu-Ulm, die anhand der aktuellen Situation, bei bestem Wetter fotografiert, die Stadtgeschichte erläutern.
Die erste Tour führt uns durch das Wiley und bringt uns die zumeist nicht mehr existenten Gebäude und die Geschichte der Zeit näher, in denen hier noch die US-Amerikanischen Truppen zuhause waren.

Auf der zweiten Tour spazieren wir vor allem entlang der Donau und durch den Glacispark, aber auch durch einen Teil der Innenstadt. Bundesfestung, Wasserturm sind sicherlich auf dieser Strecke die Highlights.

Auf beiden Touren sind es historische Fotos, Infotafeln und Überlendungen von historischen und aktuellen Motiven sowie Texte und Infos unserer Stadtgeschichtsstelen die uns einen Einblick in die bewegte Historie unserer jungen Stadt geben.
The communal archive turns 40! The virtual reality project was created on this occasion: the result are currently two virtual walks for computer, tablet and smartphone through Neu-Ulm, which explain the city’s history on the basis of the current situation, photographed in the best weather.
On the first tour we walk mainly along the Danube and through the Glacis Park, but also a part of the city center. Bundesfestung, water tower are certainly the highlights on this route. The second tour takes us through the Wiley Area and introduces us to the mostly non-existent buildings and the history of the time when the US troops were still at home here.
On both tours there are historical photos, information boards and overlays of historical and current motifs as well as texts and information from our city history steles that give us an insight into the eventful history of our city.
