Das Volksfest der Deutsch-Amerikanischen Freundschaftswoche im Wiley fand regelmäßig statt. Es war für die Neu-Ulmer:innen eine willkommene Gelegenheit, die Wiley Barracks zu betreten.
Die exotischen amerikanischen Speisen wie Hot Dogs, Hamburger und Cola waren sehr begehrt. Die Zusammenführung beider Nationen war sowohl den Amerikanern als auch den Deutschen wichtig, um das Zusammenleben in der Stadt auf eine freundschaftliche Basis zu stellen.

The festival celebrating German-American Friendship Week took place regularly and was a welcome opportunity for the people of Neu-Ulm to enter the Wiley Barracks and sample exotic American foods such as hot dogs, hamburgers and Coke. The integration of the two nations was important for both the Americans and the Germans, to put co-existence in the town on a friendly footing.
